Bits and Pieces of My Life: Office Edition

A sneak peak at my workspace...

My desk top, complete with all the essentials: Colorful screen saver, aromatherapy mist (peppermint for energy, lavender for stress-relief), framed photos that make me smile, to-do list/mouse pad (made from recycled paper, of course!), pretty purple coffee mug, mini zen garden, & day planner.

Work-related reading material, business cards, inspirational photo, and scented candle (to add a sense of coziness if I'm stuck in the office working late)

Keys...obviously.

A peak at my ideal schedule collage that lives in the front of my planner. Basically a visual representation of my goals and the things I want to attract into my life.

What keeps you feeling fabulous in your work space?

Stopping to smell (and photograph!) the roses

My beau surprised me with a lovely bouquet of pink and red flowers at work last Friday, so naturally I pulled out my camera :)

Creative Play with Instagram!

Looking for a delicious new way to waste (*ahem* spend) time? Download my new favorite iPhone app, Instagram! Instagram is not only incredibly easy to use, it allows you to add different colored filters to your photos, making them look all artsy fartsy and fabulous! Here are a few "Instagramed" pics I've snapped recently...

If you have an iPhone, get this app. It's so fun!

Sun, Sand, and Sleep...(aka why I've been such an absentee blogger this past week!)

I've gotten some much needed R & R this week while vacationing on beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard with my boyfriend and family. Not yet home but have been missing blogging so much that I've decided to post a few pics while I'm still here :)

Beautiful view from the ferry boat en route to the Vineyard

The cliffs at Aquinnah beach

MV foot-ware: Boat shoes and leather sandals of course!

Absolutely delicious "Thanksgiving" sandwich from The Waterside Market in Vineyard Haven

Rainy Day Boutique...one of my favorite shops on the island, always full of unexpected treasures!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Fashionista in the making (aka. my first photo shoot!)

I had my first fashion photo shoot a few months back. I chose an all white background to get the hang of things and basically wore my favorite outfits and accessories. Hope you enjoy and look forward to more to come :)

Simple morning pleasures...

If your typical morning consists of repeatedly hitting the snooze button, a frantic search for your car keys (did you really leave them in the freezer again?), and a mad dash out the door (half a bagel and hairbrush in hand!), then it might be time for a little AM makeover. Why not...

Rise naturally with the sun. Sip green tea. Journal. Draw. Doodle. Set intentions for the day to come. Read something inspirational. Meditate. Hit the gym (and the sauna!). Listen to a guided meditation. Run. Do yoga. Listen to Lele's Breakfast (probs the funniest thing I've heard in months). Go for a walk outside. Take a long hot shower (or better yet, a bubble bath!). Pray. Stretch. Prepare yourself a delicious breakfast. Canoodle with someone you love. Read the newspaper in bed. Put on the most fabulous outfit you own (even if, or rather, especially if, it's just a normal day). Listen to your favorite music. Take a moment or two to stare out the window...

Before you know it you'll be sailing into work with such a slap happy grin on your face, no one will know what to do with you!

Wishing you a weekend sprinkled with fairy dust!
